Balloon Race Sponsorship Deadline Extended to July 31
Support still needed for the 2008 event

(RENO, Nev.) –In an effort to encourage more sponsors and bring more balloons to Reno, The Great Reno Balloon Race is extending the sponsorship deadline until July 31. Sponsorship levels are available for businesses and groups of all sizes, starting at $875.

“The event has been free to the public for 27 years because of the sustained support of many generous sponsors,” said Balloon Race President, Steve Trounday. “In order to ensure the future and health of Reno’s most beloved event, The Balloon Race is soliciting support from the community.”

Aside from Major Sponsorships, there are levels for any business or individual to get involved and fly the skies. Businesses can come in at a Corporate Level Sponsorship and families or individuals may participate as a Family Sponsor. As a sponsor, businesses may entertain valued clients and vendors, show appreciation to staff members, encourage team-building and fly a company banner in front of 140,000 spectators. For more information on how you can become a sponsor, visit www.renoballoon.com or call (775) 826-1181.

Thanks to the continued support of generous sponsors, The Great Reno Balloon Race continues as a free event for its 27th year. This year’s major sponsors include: Wells Fargo Bank, the May Foundation, Silver Legacy Resort Casino, Harrah’s Reno, Reno.com, Jack in the Box, Great Basin Internet Services, Communications Installation Services Inc. (C.I.S.) of Reno, KRNV News 4, News Talk 780 KOH, Bonanza Casino, Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority, Shell Oil and Curves of Northern Nevada.
