New Fundraiser Supports The Great Reno Balloon Race
Catch a sneak peek of this year’s highlights

(RENO, Nev.) – Join The Great Reno Balloon Race, for a fundraiser at 748 South Meadows Parkway in the Village at Double Diamond on Saturday, Aug. 22 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Weather permitting, $5 tethered rides will be available for sale in the morning from 7 to 10 a.m. Throughout the day, select event merchandise and raffle tickets will be sold for a chance to win one of two hot-air balloon rides at this year’s event or rides in the T-6 airplanes that fly over the event field. There will also be raffle drawings for other exciting items and Balloon Race souvenirs. Kids will enjoy free hot chocolate samples, face painting, $5 haircuts and free karate classes. While parents can enjoy free coffee samples from Starbucks, Port of Subs breakfast samples and drink specials from Vino 100.

From 4 to 6 p.m. join the Balloon Race crew at Vino 100 as the 2009 Great Reno Balloon Race poster is unveiled and we share a champagne toast to this year’s event. Final drawings for the raffles will be held at this time and the artist of the poster will be at the venue signing autographs.
